GO ON...BRAG ON JESUS!

²⁸ He chose what the world thinks is unimportant and what the world looks down on and thinks is nothing in order to destroy what the world thinks is important. ²⁹ God did this so that no one can brag in his presence. ³⁰ Because of God you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God. Let us be reminded that it is God who initiated and perfected our redemption. We did not love Him, He is the one who loved us first, we did not go looking for Him, we were hiding away from Him just like Adam and Eve after they sinned. While we were too busy outdoing each other with our elaborate fig leave outfits, Jesus came, lived a perfect sinless life among us and gave His life on the cross for us, died, was buried and rose again on the third day having atoned for the sins of the entire human race. Glory to God!

Jesus came to seek and save us, We did not choose Him, He chose us. While we were still sinners Christ died for us, the righteous for the unrighteous and through Him alone we have a perfectly restored relationship with God as we put our trust in His once and for all, perfect sacrifice of Himself for our sins on the cross and His resurrection from the dead.

In Christ we have already been made righteous and holy, we have been redeemed, we have been set free from sin, it’s a done deal. We have also been given authority over all the powers of the enemy; knowing and believing these eternal truths will empower you live confidently in fellowship with your Father and also to walk victoriously over sin, the flesh and the devil.

Knowing and believing these truths will cause us to work out the salvation that has already been worked into as we learn to increasingly depend on the Holy Spirit to guide us every step of the way. There won’t be any room for boasting or bragging on one’s own efforts, all glory and honor will go to the one who is truly worthy of it all – Christ Jesus our Lord!

The Word makes it abundantly clear without Jesus we can do nothing but with Him we can do all things and that we are conquerors and more than conquerors through Him. Why and how? Because He loves us, that’s why and that’s how!.

Jesus is our wisdom, our insight and understanding, our way of thinking and acting, our Redeemer, our Righteousness, our Sanctification, our Healer, our Provider, our High Priest, our King, our Lord, our Victory…He is our everything! The life that we now live in the flesh, we live by and through His faith. It is all about Jesus from start to finish, He is rightly called the Beginning and the End.
