Here
is the Third installment in this series on The Christian Doctrine by
my dear brother and good friend Daniel J. Musokwa of The New Testament

Galatians
1:6-9 I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who
called you by the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel - which is really
no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you
into confusion and are trying to pervert
(mutate) the gospel
of Christ. But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel
OTHER than the one we preached to you, let him be ETERNALLY CONDEMNED!
As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody
is preaching to you a gospel OTHER than what you accepted, let him be ETERNALLY
CONDEMNED!

Paul repeated this anathema twice for good effect to act as a clear warning… we MUST heed this warning!
The problem is that we take things so lightly in today’s church! We are drunken on the gospel of perverted GRACE! We forget that the only thing that equals the LOVE of God is the WRATH of God, and both are valid to His eternal character and composition. None is bigger than the other. These things are so important and that’s why Paul said “study and show yourself approved, a worker who needs not be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of Truth” – 2Timothy 2:15 KJV. It is also why Jesus said “… be careful what you hear…” – Mark 4:24 Don’t just hear everything. You must discriminate what you hear with earnest studying and prayers. You need to be careful what you hear because words are seeds, they have a spiritual composition that can bear fruit in your life; positive or negative. A lot depends on not only what you believe but also what you hear! Jesus said “the words that I speak to you; they are spirit and they are life!” So it is that the words that Satan speaks are also spirit and they are death! Whom will you listen to?
2Timothy
4:3 For the time will come when men will not put up with SOUND
DOCTRINE. Instead, TO
SUIT THEIR OWN DESIRES, they will gather around them a great
number of teachers to say what
their itching ears want to hear.
These are those times I tell you, when men don’t want to put up with SOUND DOCTRINE! Why? Because sound doctrine requires discipline (being a disciple not just a Jesus follower), it requires sacrifice, it is about what you MUST do for God and NOT what He can do for you, it exposes selfishness and darkness. So in order to “suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of (false)teachers to say what their itching ear want to hear.”

But bless God, we who are in the Doctrine of Christ, through the Spirit of Agape, “… must teach what is in accord with SOUND DOCTRINE” - Titus 2:1
