IT’S ALL BECAUSE OF GOD...

³⁰ Because of God you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God. In Christ we are put right with God, and have been made holy, and have been set free from sin. – 1 Corinthians 1:30 NCV

The Word of God reminds us yet again that it is because of the perfect and eternal love of God that we are in Christ Jesus. We didn’t do anything to convince God to save us, we were actually alienated from Him because of sin, we were steeped in our sinful ways, none of us were seeking Him.

        ¹⁰ As it is written:

“There is no one righteous, not even one;
¹¹     there is no one who understands;
    there is no one who seeks God. – Romans 3:10-11 NIV

We have been saved by God’s grace; we have been translated from the kingdom of darkness into the Kingdom of Light, the Kingdom of God’s Dear Son, Christ Jesus our Lord. We have been adopted into the Family of God, we are now His Children and He is both our God and our Father.

Whatever situation you are facing today remember that Christ our Lord and Savior is also your Wisdom, ask for His input and His follow His guidance. He is right there with you for His Word says He will instruct you with His eyes on you.

        ⁸ I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go;
     I will counsel you with my loving eye on you. – Psalm 32:8 NIV

In Christ, we are reconciled to God, we are made right with Him, for He becomes our righteousness, we no longer relate to God based on our own righteousness which, if I may hastily add, is woefully wanting. It is the Father Himself who made Jesus sin so that we could be made His Righteousness and being made His Righteousness we can come boldly and freely before the Father without any feelings of guilt or sin consciousness. 

²¹ God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. – 2 Corinthians 5:21 NIV

When we are in Christ, we are holy and pure in the Father’s sight. So let’s believe what the Word of God says and discard this “groveling-before-God-hoping-He’d-be-merciful-to-us” mentally that has enslaved us for so long for it is nothing but false humility. You are your Father’s child, He calls you righteous and holy, He loves you perfectly and eternally.

In Christ we have been redeemed from the power and dominion of sin. Sin has no power over us for we are not under the Law of Moses but under the grace of God (Romans 6:14) which empowers us to live by following the dictates of our re-born spirits. When we are Born Again, our spirits are joined with the Holy Spirit as one (1 Corinthians 6:17) We now have the ability and the desire to follow the Spirit and live free from sin. Our bodies and our minds are no longer in control, our spirit is. We can now respond to the grace of God which teaches us to walk in victory over sin.

Should you sin, know that you have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ

the Righteous, your Savior, who already took care of all your sins once and for all. Confess your sin, thank Him that your sin is under the blood and look to Him for strength to overcome. Don’t allow the enemy to weigh you down with shame, guilt and condemnation, instead get back to walking in the light immediately and as you do, you will be having fellowship with fellow believers and the blood of Jesus will continue cleansing us from all sin.

Christ is your Wisdom, your Righteousness, your Sanctification and your Redemption. Meditate on this truth and let it be firmly established in your spirit today.
