6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with
thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace
of God,which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
– Philippians 4:6-7 NIV
We are not to
live our lives weighed down with worry over stuff that we have to deal with. We
have clear instructions from the Word of God on what to do when faced with
situations that would seek to assault and paralyze us with worry, anxiety, fear
or panic.
We have God’s
numerous promises of His abundant provision for us, in fact all His promises to
us are yes and amen in Christ Jesus our Lord. We have no reason to let our
hearts be troubled, our Lord told us to believe in the Father and to also
believe in Him. Let us believe His Word more than we do our circumstances. If
He said it in His Word, then that should settle it for us.
Let us bring
all our needs and cares to Him in prayer with hearts full of thanksgiving for
we know He who has promised to supply all our needs is faithful and He will do
it. As we do that, we will experience His peace that passes all understanding
guarding our hearts and minds against all worry and anxiety. And while we are
resting in Him, He is working things out for us. Our confidence is in the
Father’s love for us, He who did not spare His own Son but gave him up for us all—how will he not also,
along with him, graciously give us all things? (Romans 8:32)
Beloved, you
have your Father’s promises for whatever you are facing today. You have His
invitation to cast all your cares on Him.
7 Cast
all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. – 1 Peter 5:7 NIV
Why would you want to ignore such an
invitation from your Heavenly Father who loves you eternally and
unconditionally? He is the Creator of all things; He is the God of the entire
universe. He has given us His Word and we know that He doesn’t go back on what
He has promised, neither does He alter what He has spoken. He is for you and
not against you.
Instead of silently struggling under
the weight of all the cares that life is throwing at you, respond to your
Father’s invitation, bring them to Him and leave them with Him. Let His peace
that passes all understanding guard your

When you are tempted to worry today, don’t
give in, instead cast all your cares on the Lord and experience His peace in
the midst of the storms of life. Your Father who loves you immensely is taking
care of you. You are not going under, you are going over – you have His Word,
hold on to it! Bless you
